The program seems useless for more robust compositions, with images and tables. A file I see with a problem is a 17-page file, saved at 34MB, with elegant page numbering, and it simply won't open.
What's incredible is that the (so-called corrupted) files cannot be resolved by any known recovery method. Options generally recover only plain text.
What is the solution?
The only viable solution was to use LibreOffice, which not only opened the so-called corrupted files but is also an excellent substitute for the Office package.
The problem has been occurring when saving files with images and using basic image features.
