All MOCCA 2008 activities have been closed due to mourning!
Yesterday at 8 PM, on BR-153, Aparecida de Goiânia,
A Uno and a Focus collided while trying to stop in a traffic jam. The occupants of both vehicles, who were not injured, got out of the cars to check for any damage. A truck carrying glass (Mercedes-Benz license plate KBY-1497) that was coming from behind could not brake in time, hitting four people.
Neulei Martins, 26 years old, and Caroline Campelo Cruz da Silva, 17 years old, died at the scene.
Caroline Campelo Cruz da Silva has left our presence in this tragic accident that occurred while she was going with her family to the RodeiShow event in Aparecida.
Caroline was from Palmas-TO, lived in Goiânia with her aunts and uncles, was in her first semester of Law at Faculdade Alfredo Nasser, was 17 years old, and dreamed of becoming a Judge.
May our prayers be directed towards the family, especially those who still need medical care.

Note (12/09/2008): I am recording here that the companion who was in the car with Neulei Martins attended the celebrations at the faculty and is doing great!
